Hi, I’m Michelle

I was the girl who grew up not knowing what to do with these natural curls. Can you believe I got perms throughout high school? Hellooo frizzz!

  As a young adult I grew increasingly sensitive to chemicals found in most mainstream personal care products. Red dye, parabens, and artificial fragrance are just a few. I eventually became so ill with migraines that I was forced to leave the salon entirely. This led to my research and acquisition of organic salon products and my return behind the chair two years later. 15 years into this specialty, I have the pleasure of using products that are both safe for everyone's optimal health whilst out performing many other salon brands.

I have a love for curls and helping people embrace their natural beauty. I help people understand their hair and scalp, give them a cut that is customized for their texture and goals, while teaching them about the products and applications that will suit their individual needs. I have a tendency to scoff at westernized beauty standards. This leads me to encourage my clients to consider where their own ideas about beauty come from, whilst celebrating their most authentic expression, whether that happens to align with cultural standards or not.

My favorite is to add color that accentuates their facial features and covers gray while maintaining the hair's integrity. I take a holistic approach with each client, using only products that are nontoxic.

With over 20 years in the business, I still feel passionate about education so I continually take classes and learn from other stylists, whom I respect and admire, located across the globe.

When I'm not working the hair magic you can find me enjoying life as a single mom to one daughter and two pets. I'm equally a dog and cat lover. I thrive on outdoor adventures, meditation, reading for personal growth and creating weird artistic stuff. I love seeing live performances of music, comedy and theatre.
