Hi, I’m Michelle Bell

I was the girl who grew up not knowing what to do with these natural curls. Can you believe I got perms throughout high school? Hellooo frizzz!

  As a young adult I grew increasingly sensitive to chemicals found in most mainstream personal care products. Red dye, parabens, and artificial fragrance are just a few. I eventually became so ill with migraines that I was forced to leave the salon entirely. This led to my research and acquisition of organic salon products and my return behind the chair. Now, 15 years into this specialty, I intentionally chose products that support your health while delivering results that rival other salon brands.

I have a love for curls and helping people embrace their natural beauty. I help people understand their curl texture, give them a cut that is customized for their lifestyle and goals, while teaching them about the products and applications that will suit their individual needs. I have a tendency to scoff at westernized beauty standards. This leads me to encourage my clients to consider where their own ideas about beauty come from, and to celebrate their most authentic expression, whether that happens to align with cultural standards or not.

My favorite is to add color that accentuates facial features and covers gray. I take a holistic approach with each client, using only hair color that is non-toxic, like Organic Color Systems and Innersense Organic Beauty. There will be no greenwashing here.

When I'm not working the hair magic you can find me enjoying life as a single mom to one daughter and two cats. I'm equally a dog lover and have a side gig as a Corgi walker. I thrive in the outdoors, regularly meditate, read a lot for personal growth and create weird artistic stuff. I love attending live music, comedy and theatre.

My personality is about 80% professional and 20% irreverent. If you can appreciate a stylist who is serious about overall wellness whilst also laughing at herself, and the ridiculous pressure we tend to put on ourselves as women, I'm your gal! I’m excited to meet you!
